Increasing impacts on climate change and environmental problems, such as changes in ocean circulation, rising sea temperatures, melting glaciers in the Arctic, show that the planet is approaching the limits of stability. Soil degradation and its use, water scarcity, droughts and floods, chemical pollution, over-exploitation of resources and loss of biodiversity all have a negative impact. It is predicted that without increasing efficiency in all sectors, including without introducing innovative water systems, within 20 years the demand for water will exceed its supply by 40%, which will result in water deficit and scarcity. Forests are disappearing at an alarming rate of 5 million hectares per year. European sectors, such as construction / chemical / automotive / aerospace / machinery and equipment, which employ around 30 million people, depend on access to raw materials.
